Heather Bischoff
Hello, I'm Heather Bischoff. I began my career in the non-profit sector as a case manager for older adults, where I excelled in creating innovative programs and project plans. In 2010, I received the prestigious American Association of Service Coordinators Innovation in Programming Award at a national level.
Following this recognition, I was recruited to lead a department with 63 direct reports, where I delved into the world of Human Resources. In this role, I developed strategic people operations and performance management plans, even managing to keep employees engaged with zero budget for merit increases while maintaining an impressive 95% retention rate over three years. I applied my case management skills to HR.
In 2021, I launched Upskill Consulting to expand my reach and help more companies alongside my full-time position. Partnering with clients and their teams is deeply rewarding, especially when I can alleviate their HR challenges. This allows me to make a positive impact, which is significant to me.
My approach to Human Resources is holistic, focusing on understanding and balancing business needs, risk management, and talent nurturing. I work diligently to comprehend my clients' businesses, their unique requirements, and deliver cost-effective services that enhance their operations.
I am genuinely passionate about both business and people. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to engage in meaningful work with exceptional colleagues every day. This doesn't occur by chance; it happens when leaders collaborate with the right team, such as Upskill Consulting.
